Wild Lines
Our Story
It all began with a 412 day cycle from London to Brisbane.
In 2009, founder Oli Broom cycled 28,000 kilometres to Brisbane to watch the Ashes. He fell in love with bike travel - not just the cycling, but the kindness of strangers, the surprises around each corner, and the joy of watching the world roll slowly by under his wheels. He knew he wanted to share this joy with others.
In 2015, he founded The Slow Cyclist offering cycling holidays for the culturally curious. The first journeys were through the Saxon villages and wildflower meadows of Transylvania, but we now have guests travelling in lesser-known spots across Europe, Asia and Africa.
In 2026, we decided it was time to branch into the not-so-slow, and Wild Lines was born. In Slow Cyclist style, these are holidays for those who want to get under the skin of the place. But with a Wild Lines journey, it's all about embracing the challenge and the unknown of the trails.
